Role: Cassandra Database Administrator Location: San Jose Ca and Rtp NC-Onsite Job Type: Contract Primary Skills Mandatory 6+ years of experience in Apache Cassandra DataStax Enterprise (DSE) administration. Strong hands-on production experience as a Cassandra L3 DBASME. Linux-based on-prem Cassandra administration. CassandraDataStax cluster installation, configuration, upgrades and patching. Experience with node additionremoval, scaling, cluster expansion and data-center expansion. Strong knowledge of Cassandra architecture, replication factor, consistency levels, partitioning and tokenring management. Hands-on experience with backup, restore, repair, replication and compaction strategies. Experience troubleshooting Cassandra performance issues involving CPU, memory, disk IO, latency, tombstones, SSTables and compaction. Strong experience with DataStax OpsCenter for monitoring, administration, alerts and troubleshooting. Experience with Cassandra Spark and Graph workloads is preferred. Strong Linux administration and shell scripting skills. Secondary Skills Redis Stack administrationsupport. Kubernetes-based Cassandradatabase administration good to have. PostgreSQL MongoDB MySQL working knowledge preferred. Willingness and ability to learn MS SQL Server. Location Shift Shift: Must be able to support PST businessoperational hours.
